Heroes Season 3 introduces new characters in the first episode

Since I am looking so much forward to see the upcoming season of Heroes, I did some investigation myself (apart from what was in my last post).

A trip to the IMDB listing of the upcoming episode disclosed the following 5 names not being credited in the previous seasons of the series before:

Bruce Boxleitner plays a yet unnamed character, and
Blake Shields plays the role of 'Flint', and
Francis Capra plays the role of "Jesse Murphy", and
Brea Grant plays the role of Daphne Millbrook, and
Jamie Hector plays the role of Benjamin "Knox" Washington.
There is a few more to mention, but something even more interesting is this entry...

Ali Larter will play the role of Tracy Strauss!!! I wonder what is up with that. Is she even more of a schizo than in the previous seasons (portraying Niki / Jessica Sanders)..?

Looking forward to see if these new players have any abilities, and if so, what they are...

Heroes season 3 coming soon

One of my favorite shows are soon back on the air. The 3rd season of Heroes will air September 22nd. Finally.

I have previously written about the series, and commented about the similarities the characters in the show has with old comic book superheroes. But now the next season is only weeks away. I can't wait to see what is going to happen, and what new abilities will be uncovered.

If you can't wait either, not even till the 22nd, then head over to Aint It Cool News for some spoilers. Just don't let me know what happens.

Oh yeah, and do check out the novels available on nbc.com/heroes for more background info on various of the characters.

NBC's Heroes revisited

So far 18 episodes have been aired of the 1st season. And the show is only getting better and better. But still NBC has the nerve to take a break until April 23rd - leaving all us Heroes addicts to our thoughts about the plot. Ooof

Oh well, I think im going to spend the time watching the whole thing all over again. Maybe I missed some important details in the first episodes. Just small clues, that seem obvious now that I have gotten to know the characters better.

Heroes vs X-Men - an ability comparison

Ok, so I have been watching the show called "Heroes", which in short terms is a TV-version of X-Men with a few important differences.

In X-Men, the various abilities like flying, telekinesis and regeneration are explained by mutation.
In Heroes, that distinction is explained by natural selection.
Although these 2 angles is more or less the same foundation - it is at least layed on us viewers differently.

Another difference is, that none of the 'heroes' seem to know about the others (and their abilities) to begin with. They are not funded and living at some fancy mansion either. It's just regular people, with no spandex uniforms or cool gadgets.
Most of them having a whole lot of personal problems haunting them to top it off.

What makes Heroes interesting as a show, is how it's all connected. The variuos people are scattered all over the world - yet they seem to cross each others path unknowingly.

Anyways - what I really wanted to do, was to create a list of the Heroes characters and their abilities - vs the X-men ditto.
So without further ado, heres a current list of comparisons (seen over a broad scale). Of course they are not 100% the same, but close - at least they share a certain amount of comparable abilities.
